F.A.Q

1. When will you put up/take down my marquee?

Typically, we erect marquees on the Thursday or Friday for a weekend event; and we dismantle them on the following Sunday or Monday. If you have a special requirement, please let us know

2. Could I ask for the entertainment to play for longer than your lead wedding package offers?

Absolutely we are more than happy to negotiate an individual price that will suit any requirement

3. Will you event manage the whole event?

We will be there as much or as little as you require. This is generally determined by the style and type of event you are having. We would like to be involved to quality check every component of your special day and provide a single point of contact.

4. Do you also offer catering?

No but we can recommend individual catering companies or even a specialist hotel that’s linked to your specific requirements’.

5. Do your marquees stand up to storms?

Our marquees are sturdy, and we always ensure that they are properly anchored and braced when necessary. They are made in accordance with EC Safety Standards and manufactured to withstand wind loading of up to 70 kph. This is adequate for all but the strongest of gales

6. Will your marquees damage our garden?

Temporarily yes. Grass that has been covered for several days will look discoloured. But recovery will be swift.

7. How and when do I pay?

We accept cheques, direct bank transfers and cash. A 25% non- refundable deposit (£50.00 minimum) is required to confirm any booking. Full payment is due 7 days prior to the event.

8. How far ahead do I need to book the performers?

We require at least 3 months, so we can make all the necessary arrangements. However acceptations can be made, if you have a last minute engagement. Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

9. How Far do you travel?

We cover a 25 mile radius from our offices which includes Guildford, Horsley, Leatherhead, Epsom, Reigate, Dorking, Woking, Weybridge, Bracknell, Bagshot, Camberley, Farnham, and Basingstoke. Outside of 25 miles we are happy to negotiate but typically we have to charge for additional mileage.

10. How large a marquee will I require?

This depends on how you wish to use your marquee. If standing room is all that is required then 6sq ft or 0.5 sqm per person is a legal minimum and should never be less than this. You should deduct from this any place within the marquee which can not be used for standing i.e. any area with tables / chairs or a stage. A more comfortable rule of thumb is 10 sq ft per guest this gives people more room to move about. Most clients though would prefer to sit guests, then 15sq ft per person, based upon 5ft circular table.

11. What is a Damage Waiver?

This provides you indemnity against the cost of any repairs should our equipment be accidentally damaged during the hire period. Indemnity does not extend to damage caused by deliberate abuse or neglect. Theft and loss are also excluded from the waiver.

12. Should I choose a marquee Lined or unlined?

Lined marquees are more luxurious and are an essential element of a traditional wedding-style marquee. With unlined marquees, the PVC walls and marquee structure are fully visible, making them more suitable for functional or party events.

13. Why do you only use coconut matting?

Coconut matting has always been the traditional flooring option for marquees. It is 12mm thick, reusable material that runs in widths along the marquee over a plastic ground sheet. Carpet is very thin in comparison and will show every lump and bump. Coconut Matting is relatively thick and less likely to show the natural contour of the lawn.
